Barbie as the Protectress Priestess of New Orleans, attended by assorted deities. As such, she campaigns the heavens to end hurricanes and to bless that wayward land that threatens to sink beneath the sea. A symbolic Virgin Sacrifice is made to the Storm God, under the watchful eye of a baby alligator; signifying harmony in all things great and small. This installation is mounted on a vintage wooden tray, which is set on a beautifully carved four-drawer chest, for stashing treasures of all sorts. It integrates a brass globe, a brass chariot with two horses, two ganeshes, several silver charms, fur, tassels, vintage lace, Peruvian ornaments, and beads from the dress of the first Rose Bowl Queen [1905]. It also includes one Barbie and three Barbie heads. Ken's arms join those of Ganesh.  30x22x11Mixed Media
