In 1964, unbenownst even to Ken, Barbie delivered a healthy baby girl who was immediately put up for adoption. (Barbie could hide her condition thanks to the large, unattactive costumes she wore that year on her "Round the World" tour.) When Barbie's baby, who was also named Barbie, grew up, she had a baby girl and named her Barbara. In 2013, on the occasion of the birth of Barbara's first child, Barbie, everyone decided it would be a good idea to locate track down "grandma Barbie's" birth mother.
