Suicide Barbie Silhouette III

Suicide Barbie Silhouette III is a paper bag collage. I design and cut the images out, then glue to acid free 100% cotton museum board. There are two different bags here, one a grocery store bag and the other a restaurant to go bag. Barbie is cut out of a restaurant to go bag, I wanted her to be fading away, going.... because of never eating. I used food bags in all the Suicide Barbie Silhouettes paper cutouts and paper collages because this was my response to Barbie’s too thin, thinner than a model, thinner than humanly possible physique and the despair created by trying to stay model or Barbie thin.
