Real Barbie

Everyone knows Barbie's proportions are unattainable by real women. So the question here is - is Barbie stepping out of the real woman or is the real woman subsuming Barbie?

This piece is 2' x 4'. It is a photograph mounted on a background. The entire piece is approx. 3" thick. The photograph floats above the background which floats above the wall. The light gray border on the actual piece is painted on.

The photograph is printed on acid free paper using archival, pigment inks. it is dry mounted on acid free gator board.
