The Ghost of Salome

When I was little my first pet was a guinea pig, when asked what I wanted to name my pet I said "Salome", my mom asked me where I had heard the name and I said a bible story about a smart and pretty lady who could dance. I've been fascinated with character ever since who is alternately described as an innocent and gulible child and a dark, evil temptress - traits embodied by every woman, particularly our favorite doll. This Salome was once a "Barbie Loves Makeup" Doll, her elaborate and beaded costume was entirely sewn by hand and designed just for her. Her head was removed and resculpted and her body was painted with a mix of acrylic paint and gleaming, golden dry gouche. She comes with the lovely accessories of a golden platter and a ghostly head of Ken the Baptist.
