Ken and Barbie, modern day icons, permeate every corner of our culture. Everyone recognizes and relates on some level to these icons regardless of who you are, your age, cultural or economic background, and lifestyle choices. This will be a fun filled eye opening evening into the inner workings of these most creative and fun artists. 9/16/10 5-11: ARTISTS RECEPTION-A DATE WITH BARBIE: Come dressed as your favorite Barbie or Ken, meet the artists who have resurrected and reinvented Ken and Barbie into art and performance. The evening will include Barbie Films, Barbie Performance, Barbie MC, El Radio Fantastique!, Gregangelo’s American Icon!, belly dance and more! 9/22/10: 7-9 Fundraiser and Panel Discussion with SFSU SafeSpace, Roadawgz and participating Altered Barbie artists. 9/23/10: 7-10 Barbie Poetry night with J-Ha, Herb Kaufman, Sean Labrador y Manzano, Tea Party Magazine.
